Train Itineraries

WEST HIGHLAND LINE - 3 DAY TOUR

The West Highland Line is without doubt one of the most beautiful train journeys in the world and was recently voted the World’s best rail journey by readers of the travel magazine “Wanderlust”. This itinerary will give you the opportunity to go by train along its entire length and see some of Scotland most dramatic scenery.

This holiday is perfect for those looking for a short break away and includes a day trip in first class on the world renowned Jacobite Steam Train that runs the final section of the line from Fort William to Mallaig, a stunning 84 mile round trip including the great Glenfinnan viaduct as seen in the Harry Potter film. The holiday also includes a return journey from Glasgow to Fort William through stunning landscapes including Loch Lomond, the Arochar Alps and Rannoch Moor.

The price also includes 2 nights bed and breakfast in a very comfortable and stylish small hotel on the edge of Fort William not far from the train station. This family run hotel has an excellent award winning restaurant as well as a lovely little art gallery.
